About Nomad

Senior people. Less politics. More velocity.

We're a small UK studio that builds apps and runs marketing under one roof. The person scoping your project is the person writing the code or buying the ads. No middle layer, no warm-body PMs, no email tennis with someone three rooms away from the work.

Why Nomad exists

Build and marketing should not be separate departments.

Most agencies sell you either build or marketing. A few sell both, but the teams are siloed — the marketers don't really know how the product works, and the engineers don't really know who it's for. The work suffers in both directions. The marketing campaign promises a thing the product doesn't quite do; the product has features no one wants because no one talked to the audience.

We started Nomad because the people who design and build the thing should be the same people thinking about how it gets in front of the people who'll buy it. That's not a structural innovation — it's just common sense applied honestly.

We're deliberately small. We pick projects we believe in, and we tell you on the first call whether we're the right fit. If you want a 50-person agency with a slide deck on "synergistic outcomes", you're in the wrong place. If you want senior people doing the work and reporting weekly in plain English, keep reading.

How we operate

Not a manifesto. Just the operating principles that shape every project we take on.

Senior or nothing.

Every line of code, every campaign brief, every metric review is done by someone who's done it ten times before. We don't bill you to train juniors.

Ship in slices.

Releases every week or two, not "all at the end". You see real product against real users early, and the second half of the budget gets to answer real questions instead of assumed ones.

Plain English reporting.

No vanity metrics, no Excel files no one reads. A short Monday update that says what we did, what we learned, and what we're doing next. If that's not enough detail, ask — we'll go as deep as you want.

One throat to choke.

You get one email address and one Slack channel. No "I'll have to check with the team and come back to you tomorrow". The team is in the channel.

We say no, often.

If we don't think we'll move the metric, we'll tell you on the scoping call. We'd rather decline a project than take it on knowing we can't earn the fee.

We don't disappear.

Most agencies hand you a zip and ghost you. We keep monitoring, security patches and small tweaks running by default after launch — because shipping is when the work begins, not when it ends.
